It is Warm in Here

The winter is actually very mild this year. I am totally disappointed (because I love to complain about how cold it is). But no matter what the temperature is outside my hands are freezing cold. Fortunately for me, I found a really cool brand of gloves. And guess from where the brand is? Denmark (I promise I will stop with my Danish obsessions....). The brand is called MARKBERG and their gloves are really warm/cute and not too expensive. Check out the website: http://www.markberg.com/

Those are the ones I bought. Extremely warm because there is sheep fur inside! 120euros

Those are the ones that I really want!
For the end of the winter they are going to be perfect.

I found several websites to buy them online.

What's For Dinner Tonight?!

No Clue!

By Fleur de Mamoot.
I love some of her illustrations.

BUT I want for sure some cake for desert! (At least just to try this Genius invention). You are going to watch the video and then tell yourself 'Why, ohhhhh, why haven't I thought of this earlier?! I could have been a millionaire by now!'

Magisso. Cake Cutter + Server. $49

Wall Stuff

I am having such a hard time finding Stuff to put on my walls. I love my bedroom but my living room should definitely be qualified as a 'work in progress'. Yesterday I found the greatest website from which you can order the underground signs from Boston & New York (they are going to add Chicago very soon as well). I lived in Boston for a year and the T (that's how they call their subways) is the cutest underground/aboveground system I have ever been in, and I cannot wait to have a reminder of that on one of my walls. Btw, I think it's also an awesome gift to give someone who used to live in one of those cities and moved.
Also, You can even create you own!

BOSTON

NEW YORK

NEW YORK

They have different sizes: 12'x12' (30cm x 30cm),    58'x12' (147cm x 30cm),    94'x12' (239cm x 30cm)

Hidden Heels

You know how much I love my Isabel Marrant's sneakers. I really wanted to buy a second pair but it is out of my budget for right now. Fortunately for me, a lot of brands loved and copied the idea of the 'hidden' pumps. This is what I decided to go for:

80%20. Eliotte Wool Camel. Bought them at Atrium for $55. (they were $120 before sales)
They make your feet look small (which I love and need as I am a 8.5/9)

What Did You STUMBLE UPON?

Hello my sunshines, I am pretty sure that you are going to hate me after this post (just like I now hate the person who made me discover this wonderful 'I don't have a life' website). You know how sometimes, you have a ton of work to do and you just find yourself on several websites completely unrelated to work (stalking your nemesis or a cute guy on fb/ updating your twitter/ checking some random blogs....).  Let me tell you that this is a JOKE compared to the website I am going to give you.... It is called Stumble Upon. http://www.stumbleupon.com . All you have to do is check what your interests are in life (ex: fashion, shopping, design, literature, oddities, ......). And from then on it will send you from website to website. It sends you to a first website, if you like it, that's great, just check it out. Had enough? just press Stumble and it will send you to another one, ALL related to your interests..... It is absurd, ridiculous, genius, the BEST useless internet tool EVER invented...and it just never stops!

When I decided to Stumble only with Photography as an interest, it sent me to a website with this awesome picture.

When I decided to Stumble with fashion as an interest, it gave me an article on the Most Over the Top Looks from the Couture Collections of this S/S2012
The hat might be a little OTT
(this was from Alexis Mabille)

And these two examples are nothing compared to the massive amount of websites and cool articles/videos/pictures/... you are going to discover.

Have Fun!

Knitting Party?!

First thing first: Do you know how to knit? I used to (no kidding, my godmother spent numerous hours trying to teach me...) I had no patience (I blame it on the fact that I was 9 years old at that time). Unfortunately, I  am even less patient now, than I was a 'few years' ago. But, since I discovered WOOL & THE GANG, I have been wanting to try knitting again. The concept: Knit it or Buy it already knitted for you!

Little Giant T-shirt. $145 to do yourself/ 178$ already made.

Shiny Happy Cotton. $13

Janes Collar. $109 to do yourself/ $104 already made

Which one is it going to be for you?! To knit or not to knit? That is the Question...

LUXEffects

Girls, today was called the 'Blue Monday'.... because we reached the middle of winter. It is known as to be the most depressing day of the year, but look on the bright side, the winter season is half over! (I actually love this season...but only when it snows so that I can layer up!).  Anyways, I thought that we needed to add colors and sparkles to our dark outfits. How? Mani/Pedi!

Essie. As Gold As it Gets. $8
Imagine yourself with a simple black outfit. Black skinny jeans, black knitted sweater,
and a pair of cute heels and then a simple touch a golden hands.
Perfection!

Essie. Shine of the Times. Scintillating Opalescence. $8
To use as a top coat under a neutral color.

Essie. A Cut Above. Shattered Pink Diamond Glitz. $8
A little OTT (over the top)?!
Probably, but this one is definitely my fav.
To go with a pair of jeans, your favorite pair of comfortable Mou/UGGS,
a white t shirt, a grey sweater, and awesome pink nails.
You don't have to do all your nails like that~9nails with a very light beige pink and one Crazy Pink Nail.

BE SPARKLY

What's Your Color

I have just spent the last 17minutes looking at colors. If you are wondering if I wanted to repaint my apartment, the answer is No...I was really just looking at colors for the sake of it. (do not think that I am a weirdo yet because you might end up doing the same thing if you go visit the Tumblr PRETTY COLORS    http://prettycolors.tumblr.com/
You can even submit your favorite color....

Let's Keep Things Organized

We all have a million things happening at the same time: work, love life, friends, family,... and it's sometimes really hard to keep track because we have too many different calendars. Here is the list of my calendars: the one in my blackberry for work, the one in my personal phone, the one on the wall in the kitchen, ....) What I realized is that I actually need ONE paper calendar in which I would write everything. And of course...the cutter the better!

I really like the stickies. I think that it will make my days more fun.

The Second thing that I really need is to keep my bags organized... because right now, it is a disaster. And when you are in a rush in the morning and that you need to switch bags it tends to be a painful thing to do, receipts are everywhere, tissues, band aids, and so on. We carry our entire lives in our bags, and everyday we lose so much time looking for something (phones, keys, chapstick,..) that I decided it was time to do something about it.

Whatever the shape of your bag is, this purse organizer will fit!

Note Pouch. $52.95

Here is the Website http://www.mochithings.com/

Don't you feel more organized already?! I totally Do...

My Jeans Need to Go to THERAPY

My favorite pair of jeans are from Diesel, they are 6 years old and they are in a pitiful state... Wholes everywhere! (and not in the cutest places :-) My plan: Sending my jeans to Therapy - DENIM THERAPY.
In only three very easy steps you get your favorite jeans back looking amazing!
Step 1: Ship them your jeans (it's in New York)
Step 2: They send you an email with the estimation to which you reply Yes or No.
Step 3: They Repair and Return your jeans.
And they do pretty much everything you could dream of: Hems, Repairs, Replace Zippers, Expend it for Pregnant women, Dye, Tailor, and my FAVorite: Monogramming!!!!!!
And the best thing about this Denim Therapy Concept is that it is pretty cheap...

Okay, so this is absolutely NOT Classy but it made me laugh...

WoUhou Jason Wu

He is only 29 and has already made history with the dresses he created for Michelle Obama.
His collections are flawless and I go nuts every time I go on his websites. But, let's face it, all of his creations are very expensive! That is why we should all be beyond excited to hear that he has finally revealed his collection for Target. Each and every piece is going to be UNDER $60 at all the Target stores across the US starting on the 5th of February (probably ending that same day because everybody will go crazy and will try to buy absolutely everything). I wonder how many days in advance people are going to start camping in front of the stores....In case you are wondering, I won't be one of them (it is way too cold outside)!

I love this dress!!!

These two images (above and below) are from the Wu Collection for Target.

I am already crazy about this collection!
After seeing this, just tell me one thing...
...Did you also think about going camping in front of one of these stores?
Because for a brief second I totally did!

Plenty of X's and O's

Just be a Doll....

I know it's freezing cold outside and you are probably not thinking about walking around half naked (yet), I totally get it.... BUT, it's never too early to start thinking about what we are going to wear this summer, especially when the spring/summer collections of some designers are super cute.
Jill Stuart. Knit Cotton Top. $300
Jill Stuart. Knit Cotton Briefs. $175

Essie. Baby's Breath. $8

Guerlain. Meteorites Cruel Gardenia. 67$
This will light up your face!

YSL. Sandal Navy Blue Multicolored Suede $995.

Super high heels are going to be the new 'last year Flats' this summer so be ready to suffer!
And if you go for this style, you need at least one accessory or a make up detail that is going to POP out.

Here is a fun website, which to me, is more of a gadget than anything else. It is a photo booth! LA PHOTOCABINE is free and as long as you have a working webcam on your computer you can take as many pictures as you want: Black & White or Color, Long or Square shaped. 4 Pictures in one which are going to make you smile!

Have Fun!
I know Charly did....

Dear Winos...

Today, I intend to share with you my Favorite Wine Spot in New York!
It is called Wine:30. It is located on 30th st between Park Ave & Madison. It is a very small place with good music and a perfect atmosphere to drink some delicious wine and enjoy small plates to share. The service is one of their strong point as well, the servers take their time to recommend food & wine.
My Favorites :
-Caramelized Onion, Goat Cheese & Melted Gruyere Bruschetta
-Cheese and Charcuterie Platter (served with warm bread)
-Grass Fed Beef Sliders (4 mini burgers cooked to perfection)

For those who are off tomorrow for Martin Luther King Day, Enjoy!
